01 · Architecture

I build payment infrastructure. Over fifteen years I've taken platforms from zero to scale across some of Nigeria's most demanding fintech environments. Cross-border payments, FX, payouts, agency banking, and business wallets. Now I lead technology at Cray. When I'm not running engineering orgs, I'm shipping my own products. I care about the unglamorous parts: transaction routing, settlement, risk monitoring, and modern DevOps. Lately, bringing applied AI and self-hosted models into the systems that run on top. I work where business and technology meet, translating commercial goals into systems that scale, and technical reality into decisions the business can act on. I've built engineering orgs, owned technology budgets, and shaped product and go-to-market alongside the architecture. Engineer first. Still close to the code.

    Chief Technology Officer · Feb 2024 to Present

    Building a unified payments gateway that expands Cray's addressable market through cross-border payments, local pay-ins, FX conversions, payouts, and business wallets.

    Lead architecture of the API gateway, transaction routing engine, risk monitoring, and MID/settlement management to unlock new revenue lines and merchant growth.

    Led product, engineering, and operations across agency and business banking during a period of rapid growth.

    Scaled infrastructure, performance, and security to support accelerating merchant acquisition and deposit growth.

  • Fincra Technologies

    CTO · Jun 2021 to May 2023

    Built the cross-border payments platform from the ground up, opening a new revenue line and expanding market reach.

    Established company-wide technology standards, owned the technology budget, and led a 45-person engineering team while scaling the platform.

    Built the foundational technology stack that enabled a licensed Nigerian switching company to launch and operate.

    Designed core transaction-switching and payment-processing infrastructure, assembled the engineering team from the ground up, and established the engineering practices needed to process payments at scale.

    Led Bluebulb's transformation from a traditional finance institution into a technology-led financial services group, creating new revenue streams through digital products.

    Created and launched three fintech subsidiaries, modernized internal systems, and strengthened technology governance, infrastructure, and operational efficiency.
